Few things are more annoying than hunting down a specific video in (that sweet spot between file size and quality), only to be met with a dead end. Whether it’s an old movie, a classic tutorial, or a forgotten web series, a 404 error doesn’t always mean your file is gone forever.

You clicked the link. You waited. And then… “404 Not Found.”

https://example.com/videos/movies/myfile_480p.mp4 Remove myfile_480p.mp4 → visit https://example.com/videos/movies/ Sometimes you’ll find a directory listing with the file still there under a new name. Copy the exact filename (e.g., coolshow_s01e02_480p.mp4 ) and paste it into Google or DuckDuckGo in quotes:

And if all else fails? Search for that same video in 360p or 720p and convert it. Sometimes letting go of the exact link is faster than chasing a ghost.
