Bettina Sladky – Must Read

Bettina Sladky (born 1971 in Vienna, Austria) is an Austrian former competitive figure skater and a highly respected international coach and technical specialist. She is best known for her pioneering technical achievements in ladies' singles skating in the late 1980s and early 1990s, particularly as one of the first women to land a triple Lutz–triple toe loop combination in competition. Skating Career Sladky began skating at a young age in Vienna. She rose to prominence in the late 1980s, becoming a three-time Austrian national champion (1989, 1990, 1991). During this period, Austrian ladies' skating was seeking to regain its former glory from the era of Olympic champions like Herma Planck-Szabo and Trixi Schuba.
