In 2012 rural Punjab, Mini (based on the original film’s heroine) is a free-spirited girl who fakes her own kidnapping to escape an arranged marriage. She teams up with a shy, kind-hearted rickshaw driver named Viren (originally played by Riteish Deshmukh). Their journey turns into a runaway romance.
The climax happens at a temple where Kaml must deliver the “perfect translation” of a legal affidavit that will either send Viren to jail or let him marry Mini. He reinterprets the law cleverly, proving that love cannot be translated away by paperwork.

He leído esta historia solo por curiosidad. Pues en una noche de descanso no hace mucho, y estando dormida escuche la palabra ramayana la repetía una y otra Vez. Me desperté con esta palabra en mi pensamiento busque en el Internet el significado, llevándome la gran sorpresa de esta historia. Y hoy todavía me pregunto el porque de mi sueño…
