If you’ve been holding off on Ascension because of technical issues, the Duplex fix is essential. It transforms a frustrating, glitchy experience into the polished, epic prequel that Santa Monica Studio intended. Kratos’ most underrated adventure finally runs like a god of war should.

I played through the entire campaign without a single crash. The Duplex release includes proper disc-based load optimization, so level transitions are smooth, and the infamous “infinite loading screen” after the sewer section is completely gone. god of war ascension duplex fix
No more crackling sound or delayed voice lines during cutscenes. The QTE prompts respond instantly, and the fury meter builds correctly without lag. Duplex also kept all the original visual effects intact – the blood, gore, and particle chaos are all present.

Before the fix, the trial of Archimedes was a slideshow. After applying Duplex’s patch, the game runs at a nearly locked 30fps (and even 60fps in lighter areas on RPCS3 with a good CPU).
