It isn't perfect. The runtime (roughly 28 minutes) feels slightly padded in the middle. There is a two-minute sequence where Kendra is simply floating in mid-air while the tentacles swirl around her like a lava lamp. It looks cool, but the pacing stalls. Additionally, while Kendra’s physical performance is stellar, the male talent (voiced only, never seen) delivers lines that feel ripped from a 90s anime dub: "You cannot resist the sky's embrace."
