“Rohan! Stop lurking like a ghost. Where is she? The new one. Room No. 7.”

“If you’re here… prove it.”

Suddenly, the kettle whistles, but it’s not a whistle. It’s a distorted, high-pitched laugh. Everyone freezes. The sound cuts off.

“3:33 AM. I remember because the clock in the hall stopped.”

We see standing at the end of the hallway. He hasn’t slept. Under his eyes are dark smudges. He holds a chipped coffee mug, but his hands are shaking too much to drink.

“Rohan… you left the window open. I’m cold.”
