The crate arrived on a Tuesday, shipped from a defunct Nokia R&D facility in Tampere that had been sealed since 2010. It was heavy, not with hardware, but with static-charge-protected plastic clamshells containing DLT tapes, a few bare PCB boards, and a single, eerily pristine prototype phone.
