Patience Series 1 - Episode 6 Apr 2026

She places the receiver on the table and leans back. She closes her eyes. Two minutes pass. Then five. One hostage begins to cry. Thorne flinches. But Patience does not move.

“Prove it. Come in here. Unarmed. Sit across from me.”

“Why?”

Silence. The camera holds on Thorne’s face. A micro-twitch near his eye. Patience Series 1 - Episode 6

“Give me two minutes.” Act Four: The Negotiation of Souls Scene 5: Interior, Library – The Table Patience enters. She sits directly across from Thorne, the rifle pointed at her chest. The hostages are huddled in a corner. She places her hands flat on the table.

Patience slowly opens her eyes. She picks up the receiver.

“They left. Said I was already dead. Maybe I am.” She places the receiver on the table and leans back

“You’re not afraid.”

“I’m going to do something strange now, Marcus. I’m going to stop talking. For as long as you need. Just know—I’m still here.”

“You served in Fallujah, 2006. Medic. You pulled seventeen wounded out of an ambush. You didn’t sleep for three days. Your hands never stopped moving.” Then five

“Subject is Marcus Thorne, 58, former Army medic, three tours. He’s armed, he’s unstable, and he’s got six hostages in the reference section. He hasn’t made a single demand in two hours.”

She looks up at the sky, conflicted.

He looks at the photograph—a woman and a young boy.

As the crowd disperses, Patience’s phone buzzes. A text from an unknown number: “The Silent Hour is over. Time to talk about the Recruiters. Tonight. 9pm. The old clock tower.”

“We tried the standard playbook—rapport, empathy, asking for his story. He fired a warning shot. Then he went completely silent.”
