Lord Crumb panicked, dropping the Flavor-Suction 3000. It shattered. The Sugar Core exploded with a burst of rainbow light, shooting flavor beams in every direction. It looked hopeless

Tony lowered his shoulder. “Not on my watch, Crumb-stain.”

Tony raised his spoon. “They’re not just good,” he grinned. “They’re invasion-proof good.” He whispered to Snap, Crackle, and Pop

He charged, swatting two Bots into the Chocolate River. But for every one he knocked down, ten more appeared. Dig’em the Frog (the Sugar Smacks mascot) tried to hypnotize them with his happy dance, but the Bots had no eyes. Cornelius the rooster tried to crow a dawn alarm, but the Bots didn’t sleep.

Before Tony could answer, the sky darkened. Not with rain clouds, but with hundreds of sleek, grey, disc-shaped ships. They descended silently, hovering over the Chocolate River and casting unnatural shadows over the Marshmallow Mines.
